Dedra Chamberlin

CEO & Founder

Dedra is founder and CEO of Cirrus Identity. Prior to that, she was Deputy Director of Identity and Access Management at UC Berkeley and UC San Francisco. She has participated in numerous state and nation-wide identity strategy workgroups and speaks regularly at IT conferences. Her goal is to take the friction and frustration out of secure access to online services, so that people can easily access tools they need, and collaborate more effectively. In her spare time, you might find her sculling or rowing around Lake Merritt in Oakland, CA.

Patrick Radtke


Patrick has been working in Identity Management for 13 years. He has developed custom Identity Management systems at Columbia University and Stanford University, worked as a consultant on access control systems and helped build the identity layer for several SaaS products. Patrick has a Masters degree in computer security and loves testing his co-workers’ code for vulnerabilities. You may catch Patrick falling off surfboards in Santa Cruz and Half Moon Bay.


Rob Urquhart

Software Engineer, Lead

Rob has worked in higher education IT services for 27 years, with 20 years in Identity Management. He developed the IdM system that is in use at Simon Fraser University. He is a strong advocate of open source standards and was an early adopter of LDAP, Shibboleth, and Grouper. Rob is an avid cyclist, and spends most weekends attempting to nab Strava KOMs (unsuccessfully so far).

Mark Rank

Director Product & Customer Success

Mark spent 15 years in higher education operations roles for ERP and identity management teams. Each role had one foot in technology and the other in processes of delivering services. Prior to joining Cirrus Identity, Mark also spent four years in identity management compliance for one of the largest health care providers in the United States. Mark wears the Cirrus Identity hats of scrum master, customer success lead, and compliance point-of-contact. He brings to the team process experience, formal project management practices, and the occasional loaf of handmade sourdough.


John Skelton

Systems and Infrastructure

Jon has 15+ years experience designing and scoping Linux and Unix systems and 13 years working within Higher Education. He’s spent the past three years designing and deploying API management and collaboration applications on AWS for UC Berkeley. He is managing our Amazon Web Services infrastructure.

Søren Glasius

Software Engineer

Søren is a full stack developer; he has almost 20 years experience in Java, and since 2009 he has been passionately involved with technologies in the Groovy ecosystem. He has developed custom IDM systems for UC Berkeley. Søren is also a Grails expert and evangelist. In his spare time he likes movies, kayaking and family time.


Kaia Brem

Sales Operations

Kaia joined Cirrus Identity in the summer of 2016 as an intern. She will be attending Mount Holyoke College this fall and recently experienced one of the big identity challenges we are solving - the digital identity nightmare of applying to college. While at Cirrus, she has taken a major role in lead generation and worked with marketing on new projects and campaigns. Kaia looks forward to completing her bachelor’s degree and continuing to work at Cirrus Identity in the future.

Alexsis De Raadt St James

Alexsis is a business executive and investment professional with diverse experience in private equity, venture capital and technology. She is the founder and managing partner of Merian Ventures, a US and UK venture capital firm. Merian Ventures funds female founders and co-founders in Cyber, Blockchain, AI, ML and consumer-facing technologies. Alexsis serves on the US-UK Fulbright Commission (there is only one “L” in Fulbright), is a Board member of the Oxford Internet Institute, The Oxford Foundry and Provenance. She is investor and Advisor to CirrusIdentity, ImpactVision, GoodBox, CareerLark and Populus. Alexsis has a MS from MIT, MA from Erasmus University and a BA from the University of Texas, Austin.

Andrew Hecht

Andrew Hecht is an experienced corporate lawyer and entrepreneur. He is the managing partner of Hecht Law PC, a boutique law firm specializing in mergers & acquisitions, venture finance and emerging company matters. Prior to founding Hecht Law PC, Andy was a corporate and securities lawyer at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP, a leading international law firm, based in the firm’s offices in New York, Tokyo and Palo Alto. Before focusing on the law, he was a successful software developer, who helped design and build speech recognition systems, and the enterprise servers that became the initial backbone of the online bill payment industry.


Katherine Glassey

Nancy Hayes

Nancy Hayes is an angel investor focused on women-led companies and advisor to corporate and nonprofit executives. Nancy left IBM Corporation as a senior executive to become CEO of two nonprofit companies. She served as Dean of the College of Business at San Francisco State University for 6 years and then was CFO and Chief Administrative Officer of SF State. She co-founded a crowdfunding site and later was Managing Director of the Silicon Valley chapter of Golden Seeds angel group for 3 years. Nancy has an MBA from the University of Chicago and resides in San Francisco.
