The Cirrus Identity Bridge is flexible, and can support both SAML and CAS protocols with one Bridge or separate Bridge instances per protocol when desirable for customer implementations.

Support for Multilateral SAML

The SAML Bridge supports both SAML and multilateral federation SAML - a gap for most enterprise Identity Providers. With the SAML Bridge, users utilize their institutional credentials to access applications provided through the eduGAIN federation (InCommon, Canadian Access Federation, GakuNin and other national federations).  These applications are targeted for trusted higher ed and research audiences.

Support for CAS

The CAS Bridge supports applications that require the CAS authentication protocol - another gap for most enterprise Identity Providers. With the CAS Bridge, users utilize their institutional credentials to access applications that require the CAS protocol.
