Integrates Identity Providers with the Cirrus Authentication Proxy
Key Features - Proxy Connector Add-On
Cloud hosted and managed SaaS add-on that enables commercial Identity Providers outside the InCommon/eduGAIN federation to be integrated with the Cirrus Authentication Proxy and displayed in the login discovery screen.
External users can login with their home institution's username and password for access to Service Providers (applications) configured with the Cirrus Authentication Proxy.
Data Sheet - Proxy Connector Add-On
Proxy Connector Add-On Base Features
The cloud hosted and managed SaaS add-on Proxy Connector Add-On can be used to integrate commercial Identity Providers (ADFS, Azure AD, Okta, Duo SSO, etc) outside of InCommon with the Cirrus Authentication Proxy. The Proxy Connector Add-On is not required to integrate Shibboleth or SimpleSAMLPhP Identity Providers.
Each commercial Identity Provider that the subscriber of the Cirrus Authentication Proxy wants to integrate requires a Proxy Connector Add-On. Branding of the guest Identity Provider will be the set up the same as the subscriber.
The Proxy Connector Add-On domain manages scope checking and certificate rotation.
The other institution will be required to configure the Cirrus Authentication Proxy as an SP in their Identity Provider - just like a bilateral integration.
The Proxy Connector Add-On can not be registered in eduGAIN / InCommon.
